Sudan Organization for Local Community Development (SOLD) is a women-led, non-governmental organization registered on April 21, 2008. Since its establishment, SOLD has been actively responding to humanitarian and development needs within Sudanese communities. Women play a central leadership role in the organization, with 75 percent of senior management positions held by women, ensuring inclusive, gender-responsive, and community-driven programming.
SOLD aims to contribute effectively to emergency crisis response while promoting human welfare, dignity, and resilience among vulnerable populations, regardless of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. As a voluntary organization, SOLD believes that sustainable development and humanitarian impact can only be achieved through strong partnerships with international and national NGOs, local authorities, and community members.
SOLD is an independent, non-profit, and non-partisan organization committed to the promotion and protection of human rights, peacebuilding, and sustainable development. The organization works at the grassroots level with vulnerable and marginalized individuals and communities, placing women, children, and at-risk groups at the center of its interventions.
